Los Angeles native John Coda has composed music for film and television since finding his way into the industry in 1993. Coda’s recent scores include the ShowBiz Direct theatrical releases Reagan and Bau, Artist At War. Other feature film scores include Warner Brothers Entertainment’s Cats And Dogs 3: Paws Unite, Lionsgate’s Bratz: The Movie, Sony Pictures’ 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain, and Gravitas Ventures’ The King’s Daughter.

Known in Hollywood for having penned the theme song for the hit Disney series That’s So Raven, which earned Coda a BMI Television Award and an RIAA Gold Record, his work in television also includes the music of Disney’s Even Stevens and Nickelodeon’s The Secret World of Alex Mack.

Drawn to music and songwriting since his teens, Coda began his music career playing drums in several bands and learned to play piano, guitar, and flute along the way. In recent years as a multi-instrumentalist, he has added cello, guitar viol and nyckelharpa to his musical arsenal.

After earning his Bachelor of Music degree in composition from California State University Northridge, Coda later worked in several Hollywood recording studios learning the skills of modern recording and mixing.

John Coda resides in Los Angeles, enjoying the Southern California lifestyle with family and friends. In his spare time, he performs nyckelharpa with his Cliff Jammers ensemble on the Santa Monica Bluffs. In addition to musical endeavors, he is an avid outdoorsman and oil painter.
